England
01/30/2012
In 2008, I was moved to a very small village in England. The village, though quite small had a long history of battles, crime, drug-related killings, and accidental deaths. The first location I lived in was in a type of dormitory complex which was built on a bronze-age burial ground (there were over 250 skeletal remains removed from this piece of land, including a Saxon warrior, buried with his hor...

Strange occurances for years?
09/30/2011
Hi everyone. I'm new to the site. There's a ton of history that I'll share, and then I have questions at the end. If you're patient enough to read through it all, that's be greatly appreciated.Strange things have happened to/around me ever since I was very young. I don't remember a lot of my childhood. I have epilepsy and lupus and spent a majority of it on different medications. My mom has told m...

More happenings at my house...
09/29/2011
So this is my second time typing this story, because I’m an idiot. This story is actually two parts. First I will explain the happenings that have been going on recently (since my last post) and then the second part is basically a question that I hope to get some input about… So right after I posted my last story, literally like 15 minutes later, I was in the kitchen getting a drink and my cat ju...

The Basement
08/27/2011
So I had submitted this story to a blog on tumblr, and got a 9 / 10 on the creep factor so I thought I would share it here also. When I was younger, up until I was 19 I lived on and off with my grandparents. Their home, the only home they had ever lived in together all their married life, was sort of like a rock in my unstable life. We moved around a lot when I lived with my parents, so knowing th...

The Start of Something
Posted May 18, 2011 by Admin
I've been living in a new location for almost a year now. While this house is old and creepy, I've never experienced anything out of the ordinary other than an unexplained smell of rotten-eggs. Never seen anything, never heard anything otherwise...that is until you make your way to the spare-bedroom. Although, I did have a weird dream once that you can read here:

http://ghostsstory.com/forum/dreams-32/recurring-d...

The spare-bedroom has been used as storage for an ex-girlfriends belongings up until she had moved out recently. While she was here there wasn't much to notice in that room besides the constant feeling of being watched and that heavy emotional feeling that one often-associates with paranormal occurrences.

Once the ex moved out I had lived by myself for a month with no occurrences to make note of, Just the feeling of being watched while in there. At the beginning of May, this year my uncle had moved in. Queue the start of something. He had moved in some of his belongi...

No Bikes in the Cemetery!
Posted January 9, 2011 by Admin
When I, aswell as a close-friend were 13-14, we'd often ride/race our pedal-bikes around the cemetery close to my parents house. This church had a nice and smooth blacktop road that circled around down a small hill still within the cemetery. Maybe 1/8 mile long, narrow and made for decent pedal bike riding.

No one at the church ever minded. We were good kids, they seen we never caused any havoc or mischief so why bother us?

One day, Chris and I were riding around the cemetery as we did like usual, cruising around on the hot blacktop in the middle of the summer. We came to a stop just at the top of the hill out of breath swigging a drink from our water bottles contemplating while sharing ideas on where to go next. He and I were facing each other but kind of at an angle.

At the moment I was looking to my right into the cemetery down towards the bottom maybe a quarter mile away, Chris looking forwards kind of behind the cemetery you could say. I was on the inner most edge of the bl...

Is the Whaley House Haunted?
Posted August 16, 2010 by Admin

In the historic district of San Diego(2476 San Diego Avenue to be exact), sits a residence(now museum) made famous by its reported paranormal-activity; The Whaley Family House. This location has so many unexplainable/mysterious reports that the United States Chamber of Commerce has declared the famous spot to be genuinely haunted and was featured on the Travel Channels: America's Most Haunted. With all of the famous supposedly haunted places in this country, the travel channel selected The Whaley House to be the most haunted.

The Whaley house was made accessible for visitors around the world in 1960. Unexplainable events such as: objects moving without reason or cause, rappings, unexplainable smells, lights turning on and off, feelings of being watched, mysterious- footsteps, cold-spots, sense of being touch, seeing apparitions and whatever else you can fit into the category of a haunting have been occurrences have been observed since.

The property was also used to hang the outlaw-Y...

Alcatraz: Island of Haunts
Posted May 24, 2010 by Admin

I'll be covering a portion of Alcatraz as it's always has been a fascinating place of alleged hauntings, ghost stories and paranormal-happenings.

Located about 1.5 miles from the shores of San Francisco, California lays "The Rock" as it was often referred to as. The official-name is, of course, Alcatraz.

Alcatraz had served a few different purposes in its time(currently it's a museum) but it once took the role of being: a lighthouse, a military fortification during the Civil War, a military prison and most popularly a federal prison until 1963. It housed some of the most notorious-criminals of the time including: Al Capone, (the birdman of Alcatraz); Robert Franklin Stroud, Alvin Karpris, James "Whitey Bulger and George "Machine Gun" Kelly.

As with any maximum-security prison, death was present at times within the walls of The Rock, either from shankings, guard-attacks, escape-attempts, suicides, etc...and so begins the rumors of Haunted Alcatraz.

It's believed that Alcatraz cont...

Resurrection Mary
Posted May 24, 2010 by Admin

For decades the most popular ghost story to be told and retold in the Chicago-area is none other than that of Resurrection Mary. Mary as she is supposedly known as(however, her identity is really unknown. There are a few different rumors that detail who she might be).Anyway..."Mary" was a beautiful, blonde-hair, blued-eyed young women who attended the O'Henry Ballroom dance back in the 1930's(the O'Henry Ballroom is now known as the Willowbrook, located at 8900 Archer Avenue).

Legend states that she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend, stormed off and began hitchhiking down Archer Avenue. Not long into her walk, she was hit and killed by an unknown-driver somewhere in-between the Willowbrook and the main-gates of Resurrection Cemetery. Ever since, Mary's spirit has made contact with numerous people and reportedly been seen standing on the side of the road along Archer Avenue in the white dress she wore the night of the dance waving people down and hitching a ride.
