About five or six years ago when I was ten, my uncles and I had took a stroll up to cry baby bridge. For those of you that don't know what cry baby bridge is, there's an urban legend that a woman threw her baby over the bridge side and left it for dead. Anyway, the three of us where starting to head back home when we saw a lady on the side of the road. My uncles decided to stop and pick her up and give her a lift to wherever she needed to go. We asked her where she was headin' and she just pointed straight, so we figured that meant go that way. As we were driving, we tried to make small talk with her, but she would just nod her head or shake it. She had never said a word. For a while we thought we were lost, but she ended up stopping us in front of a big yellow house.
My uncles had exited the truck, and she slowly got out too. They had approached the door and knocked on it. The woman stayed back. I was playing with the radio trying to find a good station when my uncles ran back to the car and asked me where she had went. I said I thought she got out with them, and they shoved me in the car and we drove off fast. They were saying how when they rang the doorbell, an old man and woman had come to the door. they had said to the older people that they brought their daughter home and the older people looked at them strangely. they had said there daughter had been dead for eighteen years. I guess they were confused and they looked back at the truck she was gone. This story has haunted me since then. I haven't been to cry baby bridge since.
